Wiki Article
I have completed a general outline for my Wiki article centered around the Poland Act of 1874. However, I realise that I talk more about anti-polygamy movements rather than the specific act so I'm really tempted to change the title. Any help would be great. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poland_Law_of_1874

This looks to be like a very informative and detailed article.
Of all the wiki commandments to follow, the most important for this page would be citing your references. There is a good deal of information on the page and citing will only make it more credible. If you do that I think the page will become pretty useful.
1- I think the most important commandment would be "Cite/list references," since this is both a historical and legal issue.
2- I would have expectations of dates, reasons for the law, people and culture it affected, and lasting impact or current results.
3- I would expect to find the people involved in the act, and an exact description of what the law entails.
4- Legal stuff can be easily biased, so I would expect this to be as neutral within reason.
1. I think for a historical topic you will really need to follow:
Cite/list references
# Be accurate and concise in your writing
Write facts not arguments, unless listing salient arguments as facts
and
Be professional in tone and habits, proofread
2. Traditional research counts here, links to other historical articles in the wiki would be good, as well as to law or historical websites
3. I expect to see a) summary of law, b_ effects, c) what the controversy was, d) list of peopel involved, e) how it was settled, f) links to articles on the topic, time period, etc.
Great start and great topic. Would like to see some references and links to other articles supporting what you have written. Pictures could add some interest. The writing is well done and it seems like you've done your research.
1. Of the 10 rules, it seems to me that for a topic of such weight conciseness would be valuable. I also think that organization of the article as a whole is important. Perhaps create sub-headings within each of the topics.
2. I would want research to be authoritative for an article like this. Perhaps government documents outlining the law or newspaper articles describing the law.
3. I would want to know when the law passed, who passed it, exactly what it was, why it passed, etc.
Wow this is very precise and academic. You did a good job at giving a simple definition in the beginning so that we know what you're talking about through the rest of the subtopics.
You've cited a lot of your sources which is good, and you've added more than just a definition.
The only thing that I can see that would make it more pleasing would be a picture.
End
1. use internal links (even if red)
2. Cite references, lot of great work and it seems to come from historical text. A more specific path to that text would be wonderful.
3. Current views on topic, from varied sources
